When a WiFi printer gets offline, it won’t print at all causing a lot of chaos. As a result, you won’t be able to get hard copies of some important documents even when the Printer driver is the latest. Reasons Why is Your Printer Offline
When the printer is offline, it means that your PC is unable to communicate with it. The following might be the possible reasons:
• The power supply to the printer is poor or it is not powered up.
• The printer is not connected to the same WiFi network as your PC.
• Glitches are preventing your printer from going online.
• The printer is not set as the default printer.
• The printer queue is jam packed with a lot of printing commands.

Follow the troubleshooting tips given below to understand what to do if the printer is not online. The same tips will also work if you are facing the printer not connecting to WiFi issue:
• Make sure that the printer is turned on and that you have connected it to the same WiFi network as your computer. Be sure that the printer is plugged into a working outlet. In other words, it must get a steady power supply.
• Restart your printer by unplugging it from the power socket and plugging it back after a gap of a few minutes. This will fix potential glitches.
• You need to set printer as the default printer by following these steps:
Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
Select Open Queue after selecting your printer.
Click Printer > Set As Default Printer > Clear Pause Printing.
Select Use Printer Offline > OK.
• Clear the printer queue by managing the Printer and Scanner settings by clicking a particular document. This will also work if printer in error state is being observed with every command you give.
• Remove and re-install your printer to the PC.
Using these tips will restore the online connection on your printer. But, if that does not happen, we recommend you restart the PC. A temporary glitch can prevent the connection between your PC and printer. You can do that by clicking the Restart option after selecting Windows. This will surely fix the printer offline issue.
